My projects

Built a full-stack SaaS platform that empowers local media operators to create comprehensive event directories. The system intelligently scrapes and parses events from diverse sources (Instagram, Facebook, web pages) using a hybrid approach of traditional scraping techniques and LLMs (GPT-4). Tech stack includes Next.js for the frontend, Convex for the backend, Langfuse for LLM evaluation and monitoring, and custom ML pipelines for data extraction and normalization. Created an open-source newsletter management plugin for Payload CMS that provides complete email infrastructure including subscriber management, magic link authentication, and integrations with Resend and Broadcast. Built entirely in collaboration with Claude Code, the plugin features React components, bidirectional sync, email preview/validation, and React Email templates. Currently powers the newsletter system for Content Quant reaching 1,000+ subscribers. View on npm or GitHub.

Founded and built Content Quant, a newsletter and platform focused on local media monetization and growth strategies, reaching over 1,000 local media operators. Featured as a speaker at the Beehiiv Local Newsletter Summit on ad sales, establishing thought leadership in the local media space. The technical platform leverages Payload CMS for content management, Convex for building a custom admin application, and Dagster for orchestrating data scraping pipelines that aggregate newsletter and geographic data.

My dissertation at Northwestern University focused on the economics of media and economic history. My paper "The causes and consequences of medical crowdfunding" was published at The Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization in 2023, My paper "Subscription Revenue and Advertising Strategies on YouTube" is an R&R at Information Economics & Policy.
